CartSell Side Cart Upsell Privacy Policy
CartSell reads the commerce information needed to choose and display a relevant side-cart offer and stores app-level performance and attribution records. Its current data model does not map or store customer names, email addresses, postal addresses, or payment details.

1. Scope and who is responsible
This notice describes the data practices of the CartSell Side Cart Upsell app for Wix. MarketForge is the app provider and is responsible for the app data it controls. Wix, the Wix site owner, and the service providers listed below may separately control or process information under their own terms and privacy notices.
This notice covers the app itself. Visiting MarketForge.tech is also subject to the MarketForge website privacy policy. The app is governed by our Terms of Service.
2. Merchant information we access or store
Information supplied by or associated with the Wix site owner who installs and configures the app.
Cart and order data
The app reads current-cart product IDs, recent order line product IDs and quantities, and approved-order line IDs and totals to operate the offer and attribute resulting orders.
Configuration and app state
The selected product, per-instance configuration, counters, review or notification state, and browser-local onboarding state are processed to run the app.
3. Site-visitor information
Information processed when the app appears on, or is used from, a merchant's live Wix site.
Offer and conversion records
Private, admin-only Wix Data collections can store the cart ID, product ID and name, offer status, order ID, attributed amount, currency, impressions, and add-to-cart counters. Customer names, emails, addresses, and payment details are not mapped into these records.
Pseudonymous product analytics
PostHog in the United States receives a pseudonymous Wix app-instance ID and funnel or lifecycle events. Some event properties can include strategy, onboarding step, product ID, conversion revenue, currency, and counts. Storefront autocapture and session recording are not enabled by CartSell.
4. Why we process information
Provide the app
Configure and operate the feature requested by the merchant, maintain plan access, and deliver support. This is necessary to perform our agreement with the merchant.
Keep the product working
Diagnose errors, protect the service, prevent abuse, and preserve reliability. We rely on our legitimate interest in operating a safe, dependable product.
Improve setup and performance
Understand onboarding and app-level outcomes where the app-specific disclosures above describe analytics. We limit this to what is reasonably needed for product improvement.
Meet legal obligations
Respond to valid legal requests, enforce our terms, and keep records when applicable law requires it.
The Wix site owner is responsible for choosing an appropriate legal basis, displaying required notices, and collecting any consent required for the app's use on their site. MarketForge does not use app visitor data for unrelated advertising or sell personal information.
5. Service providers and disclosures
The app shares or makes information available only as needed to provide the functions described here, comply with law, or protect the service.
App hosting, Wix Stores APIs, private Wix Data storage, notifications, and billing information.
Pseudonymous app-funnel, lifecycle, exception, and conversion analytics.
Providers may process information in countries other than the visitor's or merchant's home country. Their privacy notices describe the safeguards and rights that apply to information they control.
6. Storage and retention
- App configuration and attribution records do not currently have an automatic expiry.
- Removing the app sends an app-removed event to PostHog but does not by itself verify deletion of private Wix Data records.
- Browser-local onboarding state remains until browser site data is cleared. Verified deletion requests can be made using the contact below.
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including platform access controls and encrypted transport where supported. No internet or storage system is completely secure. App settings placed in the Wix live-site embed are required by the public widget and must not be used to store secrets.
7. Your choices and privacy rights
- Merchants can change the promoted product, disable the site plugin, or remove the app.
- Merchants can request an export, correction, or deletion of MarketForge-controlled CartSell records after account verification.
- Requests can be sent to support@marketforge.tech. Wix and PostHog handle data they control under their own policies.
Depending on location, an individual may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of personal information, and to withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing. We may need to verify the requester and the relevant Wix site before acting. A complaint may also be made to the appropriate data-protection authority.
Changes and age limits
We will update the date above when this notice changes. If a change materially affects app data practices, we will provide notice through an appropriate channel, such as the app dashboard, Wix listing, or email when available. The app is intended for business websites and is not directed to children under 16.
