Crowdfunding URLs, appearance choices, and schedule settings are stored with the Wix app embed. Because the live widget needs them, these values are present in the public site configuration and should not contain secrets.

CrowdConnect Privacy Policy
CrowdConnect stores the campaign links and display settings supplied by the merchant. It does not process donations and the current app does not maintain MarketForge-side visitor click analytics.

1. Scope and who is responsible
This notice describes the data practices of the CrowdConnect app for Wix. MarketForge is the app provider and is responsible for the app data it controls. Wix, the Wix site owner, and the service providers listed below may separately control or process information under their own terms and privacy notices.
This notice covers the app itself. Visiting MarketForge.tech is also subject to the MarketForge website privacy policy. The app is governed by our Terms of Service.
2. Merchant information we access or store
Information supplied by or associated with the Wix site owner who installs and configures the app.
App and plan information
The Wix app-instance ID and billing status are read to provide plan-dependent controls.
Browser-local preference
A dismissal flag for a premium announcement may be stored in the merchant browser.
3. Site-visitor information
Information processed when the app appears on, or is used from, a merchant's live Wix site.
Outbound campaign visits
When a visitor chooses a configured campaign, the destination platform receives ordinary connection information and may receive the Wix page URL as a referrer. That platform independently processes any account, campaign, or payment activity.
4. Why we process information
Provide the app
Configure and operate the feature requested by the merchant, maintain plan access, and deliver support. This is necessary to perform our agreement with the merchant.
Keep the product working
Diagnose errors, protect the service, prevent abuse, and preserve reliability. We rely on our legitimate interest in operating a safe, dependable product.
Improve setup and performance
Understand onboarding and app-level outcomes where the app-specific disclosures above describe analytics. We limit this to what is reasonably needed for product improvement.
Meet legal obligations
Respond to valid legal requests, enforce our terms, and keep records when applicable law requires it.
The Wix site owner is responsible for choosing an appropriate legal basis, displaying required notices, and collecting any consent required for the app's use on their site. MarketForge does not use app visitor data for unrelated advertising or sell personal information.
5. Service providers and disclosures
The app shares or makes information available only as needed to provide the functions described here, comply with law, or protect the service.

Merchant-selected crowdfunding platform
Receiving the outbound visit and operating the campaign. Supported destinations include Patreon, GoFundMe, Indiegogo, Ko-fi, Kickstarter, Buy Me a Coffee, Fundly, Crowdcube, StartEngine, Mightycause, JustGiving, FundRazr, Crowd Supply, Fundable, Chuffed, PledgeMe, and Experiment.
Providers may process information in countries other than the visitor's or merchant's home country. Their privacy notices describe the safeguards and rights that apply to information they control.
6. Storage and retention
- Campaign and display settings remain in the Wix app configuration until they are changed or removed.
- The browser-local announcement preference does not currently have an automatic expiry and can be removed by clearing browser site data.
- Destination platforms determine retention for visits, accounts, campaign activity, and payments under their own policies.
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including platform access controls and encrypted transport where supported. No internet or storage system is completely secure. App settings placed in the Wix live-site embed are required by the public widget and must not be used to store secrets.
7. Your choices and privacy rights
- Merchants can edit or remove campaign links, disable the widget, or remove the app.
- Visitors can choose whether to open a campaign destination and should review that platform’s privacy information before providing personal or payment details.
- Verified requests about MarketForge-controlled configuration can be sent to support@marketforge.tech.
Depending on location, an individual may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of personal information, and to withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing. We may need to verify the requester and the relevant Wix site before acting. A complaint may also be made to the appropriate data-protection authority.
Changes and age limits
We will update the date above when this notice changes. If a change materially affects app data practices, we will provide notice through an appropriate channel, such as the app dashboard, Wix listing, or email when available. The app is intended for business websites and is not directed to children under 16.
